This holiday shopping season, I found myself in a peculiar situation.
Someone needs to open up a Bitcoin Pop-up shop. This is the gap in the industry, the place with consumers, producers, and retailers are separated, having to resort to interacting online, in privacy. Its that privacy that main stream media touts as Bitcoin’s chief characteristic, when its insinuating criminality, but its the ability to be cashless and secure – the blockchain, that’s being overlooked. Yes, we have bitcoin retailers (have you seen a sign lately?). What we need is a BITCOIN ONLY store!
Shopper: Oh, that looks nice. How much is it?
Saleswoman: Oh, that necklace is 0.25 BTC.
Shopper: How much is that in cash, you know, dollars?
Saleswoman: Sorry, Ma’am. This is a Bitcoin only establishment.
Shopper: A what?!
